Practical lift maintenance guidance

Changing Lift Maintenance Providers in Sydney

Questions to help Sydney owners, strata managers and building managers plan the next step for an existing lift.

Can another company maintain your lift?

You do not necessarily have to remain with the original installer. A new provider should assess the equipment, documentation, condition and availability of suitable parts and technical support before offering a maintenance agreement.

Gather the information first

Have the site address, lift make and model, number of stops, service records, recent defects and breakdown history ready. Include any existing reports and details of the emergency communication equipment.

Review your current agreement

Check the expiry date, notice period, cancellation terms and any outstanding obligations. Arrange the handover date so maintenance and emergency support remain coordinated.

Compare the proposed scope

Ask how often the lift will be serviced, how defects are reported, which call-outs and parts are included, and what happens when components are obsolete. Confirm the emergency contact pathway and any attendance charges in writing.

How Home Lift Sydney can help

We can inspect the existing lift, identify outstanding defects and propose ongoing servicing for commercial, strata and residential installations, including equipment supplied by other lift companies.
