Preparing for an E-Frame lift

Our aluminium E-Frame forms the lift enclosure, so the builder does not need to construct a traditional masonry shaft. The building-side preparation is straightforward when it is coordinated early.

Leave the floor void
Form the required opening through each floor in accordance with the approved lift drawings.

Create the pit
Prepare the set-down pit area at the lowest landing to the nominated dimensions and depth.

Allow for overhead
Where the available top-floor overhead requires it, form a ceiling rebate similar to a skylight opening.

All openings, pit dimensions, structural supports and overhead requirements must be confirmed against the project-specific lift drawings before construction.

Already designed a masonry shaft?

Lift within a shaft by builder.

You do not need to use our aluminium E-Frame. Where an architect or builder has already designed a masonry, concrete or framed lift shaft, we can provide a lift package specifically coordinated for installation within that structure.

We review the proposed shaft dimensions, pit, overhead, door openings, structural supports, power and finishes early, then provide project-specific lift drawings for coordination before construction.
